New challenge at TioT - traditional Christmas

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at TioT  and our theme is

🎅🎄'traditional Christmas'🎅🎄.
As always, you have 2 weeks to join us, and projects of all formats are welcome, as long as they fit the theme. And don't forget to look at the lovely pieces my teamies made!

I made a tag:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Love the pink bows. Have fun with the Christmas posts. We do Christmas right after Halloween. Bam! So fun. That's our tradition and I LOOOOVE it!

    2. Hello Valerie: I have several Jewish friends, a couple of Hindus and a Muslim acquaintance, so the theme of "A traditional Christmas" might be a bit of a challenge for them. What constitutes a traditional Christmas will vary of course. For the local Mennonite community it will be a time for reflection, not an orgy of gift giving. There will be no lights on their homes, no baubles and gewgaws. If there is decor in the house it will be natural, pine boughs, cones and the like. In Israel and Palestine a traditional Christmas will mean soldiers guarding the holy sites with guns so that different religious fanatics don't kill each other. For TV evangelists it will mark a golden opportunity to extort more money from gullible people who can least afford to give, and who are duped mercilessly. For Miriam and me, it will be the same as any other day - and that's the way we like it. That's a traditional Christmas for us. Hugs and kisses - David

    3. Hi David, I don't celebrate anything, so themes like this are not easy. I always make a donation to the homeless, and that's better for me than buying presents for people who already have everything. I will be with a friend, we will make a meal and enjoy it together . Have a great day 😊, hugs 🤗, Valerie

  3. That is a great page, and I am glad you reminded everyone that Christmas isn't the only holiday. That Menorah is a great addition. I think the dog with his glasses is my favorite-ha ha. He made me smile. Hope all is well with you. hugs-Erika

  19. It's hard to determine what a traditional Christmas is, but I like how you included the menorah. I think you showed Christmas can be anything you want it to be.
    great take on this theme.

  21. The little calf with her pink bows is adorable, Valerie! The tag is gorgeous. Some lucky person would love to receive that on a Christmas present. Those bees are wonderful. I immediately thought of my friend, Debra, She Who Seeks. She loves bees more than anyone I know.
