T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Here it was warm and sunny with temps up to 25°, really incredible for the end of October . It made for pleasant walking and lots of people were buying ice cream and enjoying it in the sun. I just had my usual coffee!

Elle recently sent me this fabulous, handmade postcard, with text from Harry Potter in the background. What a fabulous Halloweeen card! Thanks so much, Elle, much appreciated:

And it was in this lovely envelope with gorgeous Harry Potter stamps and also decoratively stamped with Halloween motives:

As I am a great Harry Potter fan this was something fantastic for me, and I will treasure it. Thanks again, Elle!

This evening we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a nice welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang. I am sharing my coffee photo and these wise sayings relating to coffee:

And this is so true - let's see how long the next one lasts!

And I have a Halloween tag:

No words necessary:

And some thinkies/funnies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. Happy Halloween and early T day Valerie. Wow, you are having some great weather. Our Sunday was nice too, but it was quiet. Fun Halloween tag. It feels like Halloween. And that's a great card from Elle. That was so sweet of her. Happy new week too. Hugs-Erika

  7. Yes, it is still a lovely experience to receive real mail, Valerie. Even the envelope with real stamps is a pleasure. A dear blogging friend in Australia recently sent me a fridge magnet and I was quite thrilled. I hope you are ready for Halloween. In our neighbourhood there are fewer small children each year so the doorbell doesn't ring as often with little trick-or-treaters. Hard to believe that one of the girls next door is now a teenager. I have known her since the day she was born. A new week begins. Enjoy. Hugs and kisses - David

    1. Hi David! It is great to get real letters, especiallyy when they are so beautiful. The usual letters wshich drop into my letterbox are bills or some dofficial information etcetera, nothing which makes me happy! I can understand you liking your fridge magnet!.I don't think an kids will be coming here, I don't have much here to give away. There's only one kid living here in our house and he's not quite three, so I don't think he'll be coming! Have a wonderful week, take care, have fun! BIG hugs!

  14. I love the Harry Potter stamps. A few years ago the US postal service also issued some Harry Potter stamps, and I had them but used them, probably not on really exciting mail. I’ve gotten used to personal communication by email or text. Most days all my mail goes right into recycling.

  15. Elle knew exactly who to send mail to. Her choice of gifts via snail mail was impressive, indeed. So glad you love HP, since I know nothing about that series.

Glad you got out in the sunshine and felt good enough to walk ad even enjoy a cup of coffee/cappuccino. I really enjoyed all the coffee memes. They were all true, too.

I really LOVED the Snoopy gang who told us about which person will be willing to help and who won't.

Your Halloween tag is fun. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing your coffee, your tag, your thinkies, and your coffee memes with us for T this week, dear Valerie. BTW, I found your first comment in spam and I have linked you so you can sleep a bit later.

  17. Hello Valerie, your Halloween tag is great, so fitting for today. I wonder whether we will get many trick-or-treaters this year - last year we had about 40 kids, but I have no idea what to expect this year. It's always different. You sure had some lovely weather - I remember that sometimes we had this lovely late October weather in Germany, and it always felt like a gift before the grayness of November. That dog says it all! What do you think of the new prime minister? I don't know how such a filthy rich man can relate to the regular guy on the street. Just another politician... just like here in this country. I'm so fed up with politics. I'll be dropping off my ballot this week - I think the result will be a disaster and we will get more crazy people in Congress who give a s*#t about democracy. Guess what? I can still touch my toes - with straight legs. But that's about it... I would love to send you some real mail, but I would need your address for that.

    1. Thanks Carola, I could still touc h my toes, but then I would overbalance and fall on my head! I would love to have snal-mail from you, if you message me at bastelmania@ gmx.net I will gladly send you my address. I won't tell you what I think of the new prime Minister, I would probably be arrested....But definitely not 'one of us'. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  25. Hi Valerie, So glad you like the card and the stamps, and that it arrived in plenty of time for Halloween! I love Harry Potter too, and in case you can't tell the text is from the third book, Prisoner of Azkaban, which is my favourite HP, but this was an extra copy that I have been using for art. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

  29. I am glad to see your coffee and how you enjoy coffee in a warm day. Even in a warm day, I like to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee instead of a cold drink. The handmade card is beautiful and creative. I like these stamps too.
Thanks for sharing with us. Happy belated T Day and have a great week!
