T sTands for This and ThaT again

Hi Everybody!

Have a good, new week, stay safe!

My posts at the moment are all scheduled, so I'm just adding a few words to my current situation, The clinic where I am is really good, we have the best care there and they are very cautious. On Sunday we even got some cookies and candies on our plates at breakfast as it was St Nicholas Day. Everything is festively decorated, it's a good atmosphere to feel well and get better. So no need to worry!

Today I am sharing a tip-in made for a photo album I got gifted. I don't want to use it for photos, so decided to make pieces to fit into it. This piece is about  8"x 9", and was collaged and sewn from scraps. The picture in the middle was marbled:

I am linking to Tracey's theme at AJJ

Today is also time for Elizabeth's Tea sTands for Tuesday link parTy, so here  a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit here. I am showing some of my coffee mugs:

The take-away coffee from Lidl was surprisingly good:

But I had to laugh at the tip that it is HOT!

Some pictures taken on the other side of the river when I went walking there:

Here it was already dark, and everything seems different with the lights:

The sculpture looked totally different:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  6. Really happy to read you are doing just fine and that you have lots of seasonal decorations to lift your spirits and keep up with the festivities. Love the design of your page with it's stitched edges, the die cut book pages are always so effective. The frame holds the marbled card beautifully, doesn't the red really bring those colours out.
A good mug always makes my coffee taste so much better.. Have a great week Valerie Take care Hugs Tracey xx

  10. Good morning Valerie: I am glad to hear that you are being treated well in the clinic and that you have access to copious cups of calming coffee. I can tell the strike force to stand downnow (I had them ready to storm the clinic in the event of mistreatment!). Would have been fun to read the newspaper headlines though! Your collection of coffee mugs is quite wonderful, with eclectic designs too. As you might imagine most of the ones we have feature birds. We even have a couple that have outlines of different species and when you pour the hot coffee into the cup they take on their colours. You might even gain weight in this place since they are serving you three meals per day, and larger than you would have had at home I suspect. I hope you will receive the treatment you need for your physical and mental restoration and return home with a brand new charge in your battery, ready to face the world again. And it looks as though a vaccine is on the way, so the battle against that villain COVID may be turning in our favour. Stay cheerful. You have my email address if writing would be therapeutic. Now I am going to get myself a coffee. Maybe you should do the same. Hugs and kisses, David

    1. Thanks David, I will miss the coffee machine when I go home! I like the sound of your mugs the change colour, they must be pretty. I have one of my own mugs here, it's a bit of company from home. I never eat 3 meals a day at home, so I am eating more than usual here. Today we had chicken and broccoli smothered in cheese sauce and baked in the oven, yummy. So, thanks for the suggestion, I am off for some coffee now! Hugs to you both!

  17. Glad to hear you are getting good care in a nice setting. Fun that you were treated to St. Nicholas treats. Sadly, it's not a holiday celebrated here. Your page is very festive. Love your cups especially the ones with cats. The wrought iron work for a bakery? pretzel shop? is awesome and Henry's relatives, too. Take care.

  24. Once again it seems I am woefully behind visiting and even being on the internet. What a lovely tip-in entry you created for Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey. That paper lace is beautiful and the sewing is fabulous, BUT the quote had me. That is one rust quote I've not heard before. Thanks for another AJJ entry, dear.

I am glad you feel safe in the hospital and you are not isolated. I've heard isolation is the worst in the hospital. I've not celebrated St. Nicholas Day, but was delighted to see you do.

I LOVE your mugs, especially the ones with cats. They are so cute and clever. Thanks for sharing those and your HOT take out cup with us for T this Tuesday. And yes, I'll link you.

The night views are unique, but I really like the two lions. I am on the hunt for lions for Iris.

  27. Gorgeous tip-in page, Valerie! You're amazing to have stuff ready to post in case of emergency. I hope your stay in the clinic will be short; but I'm glad it is a cheery place. That has healing power too.

  32. I'm glad you are being well looked after at the clinic. I hope your condition improves soon.
As you might have read, we have celebrated St Nicholas too, but the Dutch celebrate it on the evening before. (5 dec).
The shopping mall is impressive. We have malls like that in Bristol, but it always makes me feel slightly nauseous looking at all that expensive luxury and thinking about the luxury lifestyle that these shop windows are trying to evoke.
The mugs are great though. Such fun.
I love your collage and the quote about the word being more powerful than the sword. It is true.
I hope you get better soon,
    Happy T-Day,
