Hi Everybody!
On Tuesday we are staring a new challenge at TIOT -
One for the boys.
I made a tag using an old stamp, I think it was from Lost Coast, but I'm not sure, showing three wise gentleman, stamped with Archival black. I layered it with mirri card and a remnant of DP, and sewed it all together. The moustache was fussy cut. Projects of all formats with a masculine theme are welcome, and you have 2 weeks to link to us.
You also still have a week to join in our 'Night at the movies' challenge at Tag Tuesday. I used one of my hand-carved stamps on a digital background. I was thinking of the film 'Out of Africa', but wrote the title in German - I'm blaming the extreme heat we've been having!
It's also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang. My photo was taken at the ice parlour on a market day:
We have had lots of beautiful sunrises, I usually wake up about an hour before sunrise, so like to drink my coffee on the balcony and watch the colours changing:
Some photos from my walks:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love both of your tags Val. I had to smile at the thought of three wise men, it's hard enough to find one, let alone three. Love the stitching on the tag, too. Your photos are fantastic, as always. The sunrise is so beautiful. Have a nice evening, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteIts a fabulous stamp you used on the masculine tag Valerie. Three very handsome gentlemen and the stitching has framed them so well.
ReplyDeleteI love the African tag as well, super warm colours and great images to use for the film you mentioned.
Wonderful photos from your walk, all the plants look so pretty, summer seems to have arrived early for us all.
Happy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
Love your stitching as always, Valerie. Great masculine tag. I wish I knew what mirri card and DP are ;-) The fussy-cut mustache is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your African lady stamp again. You did a terrific job carving that stamp.
Your photos are beautiful and interesting. I would love to walk the streets of Zurich myself, but your phtos are the next best thing. Thank you.
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Lovely work for the challenges and gorgeous summer photos!
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie ,wow love your tags ,both very good, well done my friend and love those sunrise pics, thankyou for sharing xx
ReplyDeleteI love both your pieces for very different reasons -- the subtlety on one, the brilliant colors on the other. And of course you know I love your walks!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always bursting with vibrant color and I love it! Fabulous art projects, and those sunrises are absolutely beautiful. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteEverything here is fabulous!

ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
I am loving that masculine tag with the men and mustache. And of course your tag with your African lady. Lovely makes.
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful pictures from your walk. The flowers are so pretty.

Beauty and brilliance in this post.xx[aussie aNNie blog]
ReplyDeleteschöne tags und wunderschöne sommerbilder, hier ist es heute grau in grau, hoffentlich kommt die sonne noch.
ReplyDeleteeine schöne woche,liebe valerie.
hugs jenny
I absolutely adore your male inspired tag because of the sewing. It is wonderful. I also enjoyed the one from Out of Africa, regardless the language.
ReplyDeleteYour photos today didn't convey all the extreme heat you must be feeling about now, because I felt like it was a lovely spring day. Even several of the women in the photos were wearing long and 3/4 sleeves, something I would NOT be wearing if I were hot. Others looked more sensible in sleeveless tops and shorts.
Looks like your coffee was wonderful at the market. Thanks for sharing your art and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.
Oh I love your card, what a brilliant stamp and that moustache is such a clever additional touch! Love the tag too, one of my all time favourite films and nothing wrong with adding the title in German as far as I am concerned. Your photos like always are lovely. Here in the North the sun rises at around 4:30, waking up an hour before that would not leave me with much sleep.... Anyway, happy T'day!
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem, I can't sleep!
DeleteIt certainly is one for the boys Valerie, great additional touch! Love how you added those bilingual words to your out of Africa Tag wonderful mistake.
ReplyDeleteAmazing way to woke up with the world, I feel like i'm sat there with you. I too am an early riser at times only catching an hour or two of sleep, never been one to lie in bed and waste the day away.
Happy T day hugs Tracey xx
Yes, watching the sky lighten and the sun rising is a great way to start the day, even if I would like a bit more sleep here and there!
DeleteBeautiful sunrises and photos from your walks Valerie! And I love your tags! I think the 3 Wise Men are a Crafty Individual stamp, but I may be wrong.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day!
Alison xx
I have another, smaller one from CI, perhaps this one is too? I can't remember any more!
DeleteFabulous tags!
ReplyDeleteFabulous tag, I do like those gentlemen, I also thought Crafty Individuals but then maybe Paper Artsy?
ReplyDeleteLove your photos as always they are beautiful

ReplyDeleteWonderful tags. The sunrise photos are amazing.I love the photos you took on your walk around town. So colorful. I love the window boxes and was amazed by the plant growing out of the chinks in the stone. Happy T Day!

DeleteA fabulous card with the 3 Gents Valerie (I've got this one and it's Crafty Individuals) love the moustache. Love the Out of Africa tag, your home made stamp is proving very useful.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and that purple poppy looks stunning.

OH i wish i was an early morning riser... I'd probably get so much more done...But i'm a night owl... I'm much more likely to be standing out on the deck looking up at the moon than seeing the sun rise.. lol I love the vintagey feel of your tag and that movie Out of Africa with Meryl Streep is one of my favorite.. Happy happy T day Valerie... Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to answer my questions about DP and mirri card. After leaving my earlier comment, I thought it wasn't a good idea to write the location with all the cyber-crime these days. So maybe it was good that I was wrong. Sorry for the error anyway.
Don't worry, no problem!
DeleteWhat a lovely place to watch a sunrise! Your walks yield a variety of sights. Always something new and different, it seems :) Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fabulous masculine card! I love the three wise gentleman stamp that you used and how you layered it all together with your amazing stitching :-) .
