Hi Everybody!
Here's wishing you a good start in the new month, and I hope that it will be warmer than our icy February.
Today I am sharing an A3 mixed media piece. The BG was brayered with acrylics. The face was drawn and doodled, and some parts were coloured with a green china ink pen to represent the hope that the green shoots of spring will soon be sprouting everywhere.

Tomorrow is Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd, so I am re-showing an A3 journal page
made back in 2014 - time flies!
On Sunday we passed by this installation on a hill near here. Some brave people were walking on it in spite of the icy winds - I decided to go back when the weather is more clement! The sculpture, 'Tiger and Turtle' is by Ulrich Genth and Heike Mutter. You can read more about it here

My goodness Valerie, you came up with this stunning piece by "doodling"?(lol) My doodles look like stick men. This artwork is so amazing that I can actually see this as a portrait in living room or as a tattoo. It's quite incredible to look at. At first glance, I thought that walkway was a rollercoaster!(lol) This looks like quite the aerobic workout. Hugs...and Happy Thursday! RO

She is quite the gorgeous woman in your piece today Valerie. I think she is amazing. And your second on the second light bulb lady is fantastic! I remember her. She is really quite arty! And speaking of arty-I thought that statue was a roller coaster at first. I wonder how you walk on the upside down part. I am going to go read about it now. Happy March! That is a beautiful face/doodle! You blended it together so well. What is an A3? and a BG? Still learning the different acronyms. I think I would have stayed with you at the installation. Not something I would dare to investigate in freezing wind. Your photos are awesome as always. The moon is breathtaking! Such an amazing work of art Valerie with the doodles and face and the older piece is a real motivating piece.
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs and idea of a walk around 'ride' is wonderful. I can't wait for the UK to catch -up and maybe have one somewhere as I would love to try it. I never go on the rides otherwise as just the thought of them terrifies me.
