Hi Everybody!
Today I have another altered postcard from Ernst Barlach.
The original was a b/w postcard from the 1930s.
After colouring the card with portfolio oil pastels I mounted it
onto 2 backgrounds. The first was smooth craft card, the second
corrugated card. All materials were recycled. I used sewing to hold
it all together. I am linking to Yvonne's 'colour in my world' theme
And I have another tag for Wendy's Paris theme at
A beautiful sunrise:
The houses built on the old bastion (town defense wall):
Buddleia with butterfly:
My friends the horses:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Hi Val, I love how you altered the Barlach, I think it looks much better now. Great colours, and the Paris tag is lovely, too. Wish I could get there just now. Great photos, your weather looks good. Hugs, Sarah

Oh how moving and beautiful your art is! I love the first piece and the second is so delicate and lovely. That photo with the butterfly is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour postcard is simply stunning. I love the colors and the sewing. Of course, i adore your Paris tag. It is a true reminder of Paris with the Eiffel Tower.
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to see those flower boxes sitting on the fence, and of course, the butterfly was out of this world. Even your horses look happy!
Beautiful page for AJJ and a lovely tag. Love your sunrise photos and that beautiful butterfly on the flower.
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning postcard. I think if it was black and white you improved it greatly. And very cute Paris tag. I would love it to be spring time again-as long as we could skip most of winter. :) Gorgeous sky colors too. hope your week is going well. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm with you there with skipping winter!
DeleteI just LOVE that postcard! Your use of color and the oil pastels is beautiful. And who doesn't love a Paris themed tag. Your tag is lovely and full of soft feminine touches.

Love the color combination of your page. Another great tag. Beautiful photos. That butterfly is stunning. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue in the first piece and love the tag period. So springy and perky.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you got some gorgeous shots on our walk! The horses, the sun coming through the circle, the butterfly on flower....breathtaking.
Thanks Sandra! Your comments are always much appreciated!
