This face is also meant for 49 faces and Kim Dellow's Friday show your face.
This was one where a lot went wrong - the colours ran, because I forgot to put the rubber stopper back into my water brush, and as I also used a non-permanent black pen, it made a mess. So the poor girl got a frustration-scribble-hairdo and that was that!
I like the colour swapped digital version better

This was part of an art experiment started many years back, watching things revert to nature
The Cadillac is on the car-park of the 'Burghof' (Castle Court) cafe, restaurant and Beer garden, next to the castle ruins by the Rhine. The other cars are rusting happily in the beer garden:
And this carriage (perhaps from Count Dracula?) is in the hallway
I discovered this car outside on the street, looks like someone's been to a wedding. I love the reflections of the cobble stones:

I was really impressed with your zentangled beauty. I thought it looked like a face. But I was even more impressed with the bad hair day, because I would NEVER have thought of that for my TIME altered book. You did a great job covering up your goof. And the digital version actually glows!
ReplyDeleteWow. Those vehicles are amazing. I couldn't believe the one originally owned by Elvis Presley. That shows how forceful nature can be. Of course, the final shot was out of this world. I always love reflections and this was something I might have taken, too, had I noticed it. It is amazing.
I am always looking out for reflections and shadows!
DeleteWonderful black and white artwork. It would make a wonderful print for note lets etc. What a beautiful face and the tangled hair with the different colours looks amazing..

I like the portrait, but I absolutely love the intricate patterns and shapes that evolved from your intricate doodle design. Castle Court looks like a fascinating place to visit. Blessings!

My that is a scary face! Nut a great doodle! There must be car collectors who gringe at those cars left to rust, but I wonder how long it is going to take for them to disappear? The Fleetwood might not be that long, looks like those plants are eating it...though of course they aren't....but great reflection photo- I agree. Enjoy what's left of your weekend!

Great doodle, I almost never do it, but love those who can and do. Old cars are big around here, working ones, we have several shows in summer, some with will over 200 vehicles from 1890's onward. Quite spectacular. xox

ReplyDeleteFirst of all - that last "wedding" photo needs to win an award so where - that is soooo INCREDIBLE Valerie. You really captured a unique scene.
ReplyDeleteI always give your faces a story in my mind! This one is a "lady of the evening" who had a bad night when a gentleman took out his problems on her - given her a bruised lip and leaving her hair in tangles. She is still beautiful though with her deep green eyes and button nose - the most requested lady of the house. :)
The black and white is sooooo spectacular. Did that take hours? I have never done anything like that and don't think I would have the patience either!!! j.

Love the doodle !!! I can get lost doing them for hours sometimes ♥ The face is great and my hair pretty much looks like that all of the time in the summer... I gave up fighting it years ago LOL! The beer garden is definitely different. I spotted the car right away when I opened the post before even reading it.

Thanks for a good tour and I love her curly messy hair. I love curls, and of course because of that I was born with totally straight hair. HaHA. I would call it a good hair day if mine looked like that.

Your zentangle doodle is so detailed and fantastic. The eyes you create for your faces are so reflective and draw you in. AND, the trip to the beer garden area to view the old and forgotten cars was a delight. Had no idea Elvis's Cadillac was left there; it certainly has been overtaken by the foliage. Thanks for this adventure.

What fabulous old cars - have you posted some of them before? Poor Elvis - it looks like his Cadillac has gone the same way he did. The ivy seems to love it though.
