Are we amused?

Hi Everybody!
The weekend is over, and we enjoyed a cool and rainy day here, which was very refreshing after the hot days we have had recently.

Today I have another 'Royal' journal page for Art Journal Journey, post and postage.
I drew a caricature of the Queen, crowned her, and gave her a nice pink dress, and of course, her handbag.  I added some stenciling and a stamp.
I am also linking to Kim Dellow's Friday Face Art.

Today I have some pics of the places I like to sit and watch the Rhine and the ships:

Later in the day the benches are all filled, I am usually there early in the morning.  At lunchtime a lot of people sit there with a coffee and a sandwich and enjoy just watching the water flow by.

And the cormorant also likes sitting on his pole and
watching what's going on:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by.

  9. Very peaceful looking walk Valerie and nice that you get to go early and avoid the crowds We do the same along the seafront as it is packed at this time of year if you leave it until later.

I just love you 'Queen' pages they are an amazing likeness and you think of everything to add that makes it definitely her. Great stamps with the image added as well

    Have a great day

    Love Chrissie xx

  10. Your caricature of the Mother Queen is fabulous, and I love the postal seals you used to embellish it. I also love the clever digital postage stamps you designed using the caricature you made. Blessings, my friend!

  11. I have no doubt that you are going to get a call soon from Her Majesty asking you to do an "unofficial" portrait. What a sweet little crown she has, is that her everyday crown?
The postage stamps are so clever too.
What a great walk and river-watch you have. I always like the promenade with the benches, it loks so peaceful.

  23. Wow, loving those postage stamps you made, genius!! Such gorgeous photos today Valerie! You should know that after looking at your beautiful photos every morning for the last year, it has become very difficult for myself and my husband to find a new home. I have decided I want to live near the water in an interesting neighbourhood...those are a little hard to come by around here. Cross your fingers for me as I search and search, because I'm pretty dead set on it now! hugs :)
