We had great weather again today, but have been promised clouds and rain tomorrow. But we have to take the weather as it comes, and I still enjoy my walks in bad weather!
This 10" tag is one of my DT projects for Gecko Galz this month. The image is from the Fall Colours jewel it collage sheet. I matted it with a scrap of card painted with Viva color rust paint, and then with a piece of my antique linen, and sewed it all with 2 rows of zick-zack stitching to a corrugated card background. The leaves and seed pods were embossed with Frantage aged gold EP, and I added a small textile flower. I like the effect of the stitching to give texture, and am happy that I can now see well enough to sew without all too many problems (except for threading the needle!)

Oh the threading of the needle! I buy them with larger eyes, to see better my dear as the story goes! Love this big and beautiful tag. Such an autumn delight. I love your attitude that even in bad weather you will enjoy your walks, which I do as well! Love this photos! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteTerrific photographs as well with lots of angles, colours and shapes to show how much skill you have in photography.
My fave has to be the tree trunk and mushrooms I can feel the textures as I look at the picture.

The larger tags you have been making are really pretty! I enjoyed the photos today--they remind me of photos of roof lines, lions and steeples that I've taken on vacations...and here they are right in your own backyard!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best "impulse" purchases (prodded by DH) I ever made was a new sewing machine that I was overjoyed to find had an attached needle threader and drop in bobbin!
Sounds great, I would love one like that! Perhaps in my next life!?
