Happy Weekend to you all!
Today started off dark, wet and dreary, but this afternoon we had sun and patches of blue sky, which was nice.
I couldn't resist making another piece for Halloween. I altered a box I rescued from the recycling bin by painting it with black acrylic, into which I sprinkled some fairy dust for a bit of glitter. Then I added some crackle glaze to parts of the frame, and distressed it with silver ink. For the background I used an old calendar page, and stamped it with various motives (TH and Close to my Heart) using perfect pearls medium and perfect pearls in gold and blue. After trimming it to size I fixed it into the box as my background.
Then I set to work with the decorations. The houses and trees are TH die-cuts, which have been treated with crackle accents and distressed with soot black DI. The bats are from Sizzix. The witch was stamped with black archival, clear embossed and fussy cut, as were the ravens. The skeleton, missing a few bones, was in my stash, so I dug him out to come and play. I am linking to Artist Trading Post, mixed-media, Halloween; Craftroom Challenge, make your own background, Simon Monday Challenge, O is for (October and HallOween) and a Vintage Journey, to die for.
I had fun making it, and a little girl I know is looking forward to having it for Halloween.
This was the blue sky this afternoon:
Some more photos from the Square by the Basilica, a place I love to be:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
