A raven, a butterfly and some fungi.

Hi everybody!

Thursday started off here very dark, cold and wet, but in the course of the morning it did get a bit better, and we had some sunny intervals between the showers. I enjoyed my 2 walks and clocked up 14000 steps on my pedometer, so that was okay. Tomorrow should be worse, but after that it is supposed to get better again, probably before it gets worse....At least it is never boring!

I felt like making a mixed media journal page in my new, BIG journal (A3). First I gave the page a coat of gesso, and then added my image with mod-podge. I distressed the rest of the page with ancient linen, and then used 2 stencils with old paper DI. I painted some patches round the page with forest green, to pick out the green in the image. I looked for a suitable quote n the net, and didn't find one, so wrote my own verse for the scroll. The paper was also distressed with the same colours, and the edges curled using paper softener.

I am linking to Paint Party Friday, Art Journal Journey, deep in the forest, and the Three Muses, the printed word.

My not-yet-identified toadstool is growing, but on the way home today, I saw that somebody had broken a piece off  of it.

This beautiful butterfly posed for me on a hedge, it really is an autumn beauty.

Nobody was sitting on the benches today:

I found these parasol mushrooms on the way home, I think they are edible, too.

Have a great weekend, take care of yourselves,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

    1. It's a fluid you spray on the paper, then you can curl it or bring it into form, and when it is dry, it stays that way. It's from LaBlanche.

    1. There's a German saying, 'There's no bad weather, just the wrong clothes'. And I would add, perhaps the wrong attitude! Get that boot up your bum!
