This and that for Saturday.

Hi everybody!

I think a lot of you are now looking forward to your weekend, hope you enjoy it!

I made 2 more tags (8") to complete the one I made yesterday.
The background has been inked, distressed, and spritzt several times till the colours were as I wanted them. I used tumbled glass, wild honey and dried marigold DIs. Then I did some background stenciling using 2 stencils from CWS, before adding the diamonds with mineral embossing paste. Then I went mad again with those cosmic shimmer gilding flakes, and added a few fragments of old letters. I drew the figures using my self-made stencils. Each of the figures became one wing, and I divided the text 'We are all angels with just one wing - we can only fly when we embrace each other' (Luciano de Crescenzo) round the second tag, which I cut slightly bigger than the first one. I fixed them together with a metal eyelet. I had fun again with these tags!
I am linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted, as always, by Eva and Kristin.

Here is a photo of the three tags together. I am going to mount them onto a board or canvas.

And some photos of the flowers and flying creatures I met on my walk today:

Have a great weekend you all, take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

  9. Was für eine tolle Idee, den Spruch auf zwei Tags darzustellen. Beide Werke gefallen mir sehr gut, der Einsatz der Flocken ist der Hit. Zusammen mit dem Giant-Tag ein Blickfang für jede Wand.

  19. Those tags are completely gogeos Valerie! You totally do all those supplies complete justice. I am so impressed by their beauty.
Also for your photos, What clarity and colour you always mange to capture! Luscious. The ladybird is so lovely and what a lot of spots it has, generally only three or five around here. The poppies are a delight, so vibrant. Lovely, lovely pictures :o) x
