Monday Mix

Hi everybody, another weekend has flown by and a new week has started. I spent a lot of time at the weekend carrying on with clearing out and moving furniture round, but I think I overdid it. I had bad pains again, and my blood-pressure went sky-high, so I ended up having an early night with pain-killers and hot water bottle, as it was a chilly day, too.
At least I was able to sleep in a room that once again resembles a bedroom instead of an Oxfam storeroom. Okay, the butts over the bed take some getting used to, but I don't see them when I'm in bed....Usually when I clear up, I move the things into the bedroom to get them out of the way, and it was really looking bad. Now it's almost normal again:

For the second week of the challenge over at *The cheerful Stamp Pad* I have made a painted postcard. The background has been painted with several layers of acrylic paint, using punchinella for effects. I sponged through the waste from a TH branch tree die-cut to make the shadowy tree. The bird is from Prima.

Today I am going to have a more restful day, I will have to wait before I tackle the hall and kitchen, but then, I should have a tidy apartment all round....I hope! Have a good day you all, take care, and thanks for dropping in!

All that moving of furniture would definitely take its toll on you. Maybe a few quiet days are what is needed.
This room is so fresh and zingy with wonderful art, did you alter them?
It is much cooler here today with rain and they have forecasted snow for the weekend.
Wishes

This would be my husbands dream room, lol! I love how they look over the bed too! Such a happy pattern in your curtains (I am shopping for some to match my yellow quilt) which is not as fancy as yours. Love the texture in the postcard too!

Yeah, inspiration mosaics were not on my radar til I saw it on someone else's blog and wondered how to do it. It really only took 5-10 minutes since I already had a stack of flickr faves. Plus, it looks cool! :) Thanks for the visit.
